Accuracy landing is a competition discipline in which jumpers aim to touch down as close as possible to a small target, measured in centimetres from the centre.
The oldest competitive form
Accuracy predates most modern disciplines and was for decades the core of competitive parachuting. It is flown on large, docile canopies that allow very precise control at low speed.
Some drop zones maintain a tuffet — a padded target pad — for practice and competition.
This is background, not training
These pages explain what things are so the language makes sense. They are not instruction and cannot substitute for it — skydiving is taught in person by rated instructors at a drop zone, and anything involving equipment handling or emergency procedures belongs there rather than on a web page.
